1. Scope
This policy applies to (a) transactional and account messages VoicaX sends to you directly, and (b) messages sent by VoicaX customers to their own contacts using the platform. It supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.
2. Consent (opt-in)
We only send SMS to numbers that have given prior express consent. Consent is collected when you provide your mobile number during registration, request a verification or security code, or explicitly enable SMS notifications in your account. Consent to receive marketing messages is never a condition of purchasing any VoicaX service, and we do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Message types and frequency
- Security & account — one-time verification codes, password resets and critical account alerts. Sent as needed.
- Service notifications — provisioning, billing and incident alerts you have enabled. Typically fewer than 10 messages per month.
- Product updates — optional, opt-in only, and never more than 4 messages per month.
4. Opting out (STOP) and help (HELP)
Reply STOP to any message to stop non-essential SMS from that sender. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages of that type. Reply START or UNSTOP to resume. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@voicax.com. You may also manage SMS preferences in your account notification settings.
Security and verification codes required to access your account are transactional and may still be delivered after you opt out of other categories. If you do not want any SMS at all, remove your mobile number from your account or contact support.
5. Carrier charges and delivery
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Message delivery is not guaranteed and depends on your mobile carrier; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.
6. Customer obligations for outbound messaging
If you use VoicaX to send SMS to your own contacts, you are the sender of record and you are responsible for compliance. You must:
- Obtain and retain documented prior express consent (and prior express written consent for marketing) from every recipient before messaging them.
- Identify your business in the first message of every conversation and include opt-out instructions in recurring campaigns.
- Honour STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT immediately; VoicaX also enforces these keywords automatically at the platform level.
- Complete brand and campaign registration (for example 10DLC in the United States) before sending application-to-person traffic, and keep the registered use case accurate.
- Respect quiet hours, local calling and messaging regulations, and applicable law including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR/ePrivacy and equivalent regional rules.
- Maintain your own opt-out and suppression records and process deletion requests.
7. Prohibited messaging content
The following content may not be sent through VoicaX under any circumstances: unlawful, deceptive or fraudulent offers; phishing or credential harvesting; high-risk financial offers such as payday or debt-relief schemes; illegal substances, including cannabis where prohibited; firearms and regulated weapons; adult content; gambling where prohibited; hateful, harassing or threatening content; and any message that impersonates another person or business. This list supplements the prohibitions in our Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Enforcement
We monitor aggregate delivery quality, opt-out rates and carrier violation reports. VoicaX may throttle, suspend or terminate messaging capability — with or without notice where carrier or legal obligations require it — for accounts that violate this policy. Carrier fines or penalties resulting from your traffic may be passed through to your account.
9. Privacy and retention
Message content, delivery metadata and opt-out state are processed as described in our Privacy Policy and, for business customers, our Data Processing Addendum. Opt-out records are retained for as long as required to keep honouring the request.
10. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect regulatory or carrier changes. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email before they take effect.
